The Po-Boys is a multi-genre band specializing in Traditional New Orleans Jazz, Blues, and Brass Band music.
Based in North Alabama, The Po-Boys will compel and delight with displays of multi-instrumentalist talent, crowd connection, and authentic historical musical styles. Our regular roster of Amy Hoppe, Ian Bevel, Lorenzo Addy, Ryan Grider, Ben Jobe, and bandleader Jeff Carroll collectively consists of two trumpeters, two trombonists, two percussionists, two bassists, two tubists, as well as one saxophonist, clarinetist, pianist, guitarist, and banjoist each! We use this versatility to present a truly unique variety of sound and showmanship every performance.
Our typical 6-member setup can be scaled up or down, and we play acoustic sets up to large events with full sound systems.Β We're available now for your New Orleans Party, 1920s Speakeasy, Swing Dance, Second Line, Wedding or Ceremony, Festivals (especially Mardi Gras!), Celebrations, Crawfish Boil, Restaurant, School Presentation, Church Service, and more!
